The afternoon was warm and full of excitement as C&J prepared for their beautiful ceremony at the Watercraft Center at the Maritime Museum in Beaufort, NC.
C's gown was waste tastefully elegant just as every detail of their day. The flowers were abundant with whites, cremes and soft greens. Every detail was simply tasteful and classy, just like this bride and groom.
C&J have traveled the world and back again, only to return to each other. Oceans literally couldn't keep this couple apart, and after years of travel, education (including Phd programs for the two of them), they both finally realized they were meant for each other! Here are some highlights from their story...
Isn't this floral hair piece beautiful?
The mother of the bride was quick to lend a hand to touch up the hair before some pre-wedding photos.
This shot was taken from a far away dock...you can see some of the guests behind them. Photographing from a floating dock is certainly a little tricky, thank goodness for an awesome second shooter to help out with this!
An extra memorable touch - the mother of the groom was the officiant. This added such an intimate aspect to the ceremony. The couple wrote their own vows, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Of course, kids will be kids. This little girl found a stray flower and couldn't resist sharing the rose bloom with those next to her :)
I love first kisses...
Fun beer selection of course!
The most amazing sunset and a perfect location to enjoy the warm light...
The rings...
The toasts...
The spontaneous karaoke...
Isn't this little guy the cutest? And check out the floor of this venue....see all that paint splatter? That's because this is an active boat building workshop. It added such an authentic charm to this celebration.
And what's a woodworking/boat building shop without a salvaged boat hanging from the rafters?
