One thing I have learned over the years of photographing children (and being a parent myself), is that sometimes you just have to go with the flow. This little guy was very excited to be at the beach, but not too excited to be taking pictures at the beach, especially when it involved parting with his "paci."
His parents were models of patience and instead of yelling, threatening or bribing to gain cooperation that probably wouldn't have materialized for more than a few minutes, we worked with this little man to make the shoot fun for everyone. We all ended up sandy and salty, but in the end, the family had a good time, our little munchikin was happy, and we captured great images.
Watching these parents work together was a nice reminder as to handle my own to boys at home...patience goes a long way!
